This week let’s discuss the future nature of work. The pandemic has changed the nature of work in at least one respect: many more people are working virtually. Whether or not that will continue after we are through this, only time will tell. However, the nature of work is evolving. Education of many types plays an increasing role, as does artificial intelligence, robotics, and globalization (or the lack thereof). There are other factors, but when you sum it all up at some point anything that can be done by a machine will be done by a machine. We, humans, have long been defined to a great extent by our work.
