Intervention

Last week, you learned about Epstein’s spheres of influence and discussed some strategies for creating meaningful partnerships with families and the community. This model is highly successful, but it does not work for all families all of the time. For some families, you may need to go beyond your normal efforts and create an intervention plan. This topic will be the focus of this discussion.

To prepare for this discussion,

In your initial post,

• Choose a family from the case studies located in ECE313 Chapter 10Links to an external site. or identify a family from your own experiences. (If you choose a real family, you must create a pseudonym to ensure anonymity.)
• Provide a brief summary about the family and explain at least two needs the family has when it comes to support they need from community resources.
• Identify one virtual resource (i.e., online) to aid the family and evaluate why it would be beneficial.
• Identify one community resource from your own community that would aid the family, and evaluate why it would be beneficial.
• Explain how you will share the resources with the family.
