Conduct an interview about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) with a person you know.

Assignment Guidelines
Begin your write-up by providing the following information about the person you interviewed:

Age
Gender
Profession/job
How you know them
Any additional information you believe may be interesting to note
Since you are writing responses from an interview, use quotation marks for the responses of the person you are interviewing. (You do not have to follow the APA guidelines for citing personal communication.) For each question, if your person gives a one-word answer or brief answers, ask probing or clarifying questions to elicit a meaningful response from the person you are interviewing.

Do not add any of your own words or other information to their responses, and do not use other sources to create a response. Note: If the instructor finds that answers have been fabricated by the student, a zero will be awarded for the assignment.

Can you share with me why the ACA was passed by Congress?
How has the ACA changed your health insurance coverage? Follow-up questions you may consider include:
Did your healthcare coverage increase?
Was your healthcare coverage from a previous insurance carrier canceled?
Did your premiums increase, decrease, or stay the same?
What do you think about the attempts to dissolve the ACA?
Would you be able to afford your insurance if the ACA was dissolved?
After the interview, write a reflection on your interviewee’s responses. Were there any misconceptions stated by the interviewee? If so, discuss what information you could have provided to avoid this. Discuss the effect of this week’s assignments on your view of the ACA. Cite sources to support your answers. References may not be older than five years.
