Overview

For this third milestone, you will submit presentation slides outlining the branding and communication strategies that you will include in the final brand recommendation that is due in Module Seven.

Prompt

First, review the following resources:

7 Ways to Create a Successful Integrated Marketing Campaign

The Role of Paid, Owned and Earned Media in Your Marketing Strategy

Georges St-Pierre: Samourai 2.0 – Segment Three

Also, be sure to review all the resources you have encountered in the course so far, as well as the feedback from your instructor on previous assignments. Next, address the following critical elements across eight to ten PowerPoint slides:

Branding Strategies

What is an example of a successful branding campaign aimed at a similar audience level (local, national, or global) that could be useful to your brand to study? How did that campaign employ its branding strategy?

What brand similar yours has successfully reached audiences at the local, national, and international level? How were its strategies applied at each level?

How might other branding strategies used in various areas of the sport industry be applicable to your brand? (For example, if your selected brand is a sport drink, consider branding strategies used for athletes or clothing brands in terms of how they may be applicable to your brand.)

Channels for Communication

Based on your campaign analysis and research, what are two proven branding strategies (to reach your intended audience) that you might apply to your selected brand? Why did you choose these two strategies?

What is one brand strategy that would differ if you were to attempt to expand your brand to a different audience level, and how might it be applied? (For example, if you were branding for a local audience, how would your recommended strategies and applications differ from those of a national or international brand?)

For help creating your presentation, refer to the optional PowerPoint resources listed in the Module Three resources section. Be sure to incorporate the instructor feedback on these draft presentation slides into your final project.

Also note that the grading rubric for this milestone submission is not identical to that of the final project. Some of the critical elements are different, and the Final Project Rubric will include an additional “Exemplary” category that provides guidance as to how you can go above and beyond “Proficient” in your final submission.

What to Submit

Milestone Three should be an eight- to ten-slide PowerPoint Presentation with speaker notes. Your speaker notes should reflect what you would say to a live audience for your presentation. All sources should be cited in APA format.
