Expand your paper by using information from the textbook and material covered in class to strengthen the argument that the issue you have chosen is a social problem. Identify the claims being made, the groups that are making the claims, and how these claims makers are attempting to influence social policies – in both your native culture and a comparison culture.
Include new material discussing the same social problem in a culture that is not your native culture. COMPARE the social problem in your native culture the the same social problem in a different culture.
When comparing the social problem to a different culture, make sure you address the same components listed for the first paper:
The extent of this social problem in a different culture than your native culture.
The various social groups affected by this social problem.
The impact of this social problem on this society.
The policies or processes that have been proposed or implemented to solve this social problem in this comparison society and evaluate their effectiveness. (Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of proposed or implemented policy.)

Intercultural competence: Your cultural self-awareness, an appropriate cultural worldview framework, empathy, elements of appropriate verbal and nonverbal communication, empathy, curiosity, and openness
You must have at least 6 sources for this final paper. If your sources from the first paper were approved, you may use those and add 2 additional academic sources, ideally peer-reviewed journal articles. Other sources could include data and statistics from the World Bank or the United Nations.
