The sand is located in the rear of the structure. As Robert is headed to the rear of the structure, he receives a phone call from a private office phone that he believes he must take immediately. While Robert is on the phone, Susan, a customer, arrives at the garage to have her vehicle repaired. She sees a sign posted on the exterior of the structure next to the garage door openings on either side that states, “No unauthorized persons beyond this point.” Susan enters the garage area because she has an appointment. Susan slips on the slick area and sustains an injury that requires medical care and surgery. There is no other indication that the floor was slick except the apparent attempt to clean the spot as evidenced by smear and scrub marks.
